Description

Design. Handcrafted with the finest detail, the Inception mirror is a spectacular showcase of artistry and drama. Boasting many lights that once turned on create the interesting illusion of an open portal to another dimension, with endless lines of reflections becoming smaller and smaller as they fade off into the distance. Its soft mellow tones from the antique lights also offer an alternative in atmospheric lighting sure to encapsulate your living space. Turned off the Inception, with its chunky brass frame coverts back to a stunning every day mirror with the same elegance and class as the 1970s infinity mirrors from which it was inspired.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this large round mirror for its sleek, contemporary look with a hint of industrial edge thanks to the flat brass finish. It's versatile enough to work well in both modern and eclectic interiors, especially as a statement piece above a fireplace or in a hallway to create the illusion of space. Practical styling tips include pairing it with layered lighting or using it to reflect interesting architectural features. Its sizeable form makes it ideal for making small rooms feel larger, and the brass adds warmth and sophistication, blending well with natural textures or cooler metal accents. Overall, it's a stylish and functional addition that can elevate the vibe of any room.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
