The Aviator Tomcat takes its cue from military aviation history, inspired by the twin-cockpit seats of the F-14 Tomcat which was deployed by the U.S. Navy for some of its most prolific missions in the 1970s. The chair’s aerodynamic curves are hugged in riveted aluminium, inspired by the World War II British Supermarine Spitfire, put through a five-stage process to distress the metal and create the unique Spitfire finish. The Aviator Tomcat was the winner of the Luxuria award for Most Innovative Product Design in 2010.Shown in Destroyed Raw leather, with all the worn down softness of a vintage bomber jacket.
I love this stylish armchair for its bold, industrial feel combined with vintage charm. The whisky leather adds warmth and character, making it a great statement piece in a variety of interiors, from loft apartments to cosy, eclectic living rooms. It works particularly well in spaces that feature raw materials like exposed brick, metal, or reclaimed wood. For styling tips, pair it with neutral or earthy tones to let the leather stand out, and complement it with industrial or vintage accessories to enhance its authentic vibe. This chair offers both comfort and visual impact, making it a versatile addition that brings a sense of history and craftsmanship to any room.
