Description
Simplicity can often be ideal when it comes to table lamps as it allows a fitting to be placed in many different rooms and blend into each individual interior. An antique brass finish on this Tilly table lamp gives a traditional and classic look to the piece, perfect for many rooms of the home as a subtle lighting feature, and ideal particularly as a bedside table lamp. A ‘touch sensitive’ feature allows you to tap the fitting and trigger the opulent glow to switch on and off; not just perfect as a charming and pretty table light, but perfect for practicality too.
Our Stylist Says
I love this touch-sensitive lamp for its sleek combination of antique brass and modern functionality. It works particularly well in contemporary interiors with a hint of vintage charm, such as minimalist side tables, bedside setups, or even in a sophisticated office space. Practical styling tips include layering it with other brass accents or placing it on a neutral surface to let its understated elegance shine. Its touch functionality adds a seamless, clutter-free element that’s perfect for a streamlined aesthetic. Keep it simple and let this lamp add a subtle yet stylish glow to your favourite space.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
