Description

With its sleek, slimline frame, the Tilda glass coffee table with square copper base references '70s designs and our continuing passion for metals. Made from tempered glass, the table's clear top allows light to flow freely around a room, while its sturdy copper-finish base adds warm, rosy tones to a scheme. The table is part of the Tilda range of occasional tables, designed in house and exclusive to Habitat.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Tilda square glass coffee table with its sleek copper base-it’s a versatile piece that effortlessly combines modern minimalism with warm metallic accents. Its clear glass top creates a sense of openness, making it suitable for both contemporary and transitional interiors. I’d recommend styling it with a mix of textured accessories, such as cosy books, natural materials like wooden bowls or greenery, to soften its polished look. It works particularly well in spaces with neutral or muted colour palettes, allowing the copper to add a touch of understated elegance. For practical styling, ensure the glass is clutter-free and consider co-ordinating other copper or metallic elements in the room for a cohesive aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
