Description

Upgrade your home decor with the Tia Super Size Tiered Shade in Green and Brass. The vibrant green hue and brass accents add a touch of mid-century elegance to your decor. With its super-size design, this shade becomes a focal point that infuses your space with both style and personality.

Our Stylist Says

I love this ceiling pendant for its bold, luxurious feel - the velvet shade adds texture and softness, while the brass lining provides a chic, metallic contrast that elevates the entire look. It’s particularly well-suited for eclectic, vintage-inspired, or modern interiors that embrace colour and tactile finishes. Style tip: suspend it in a living room or bedroom with neutral walls to let the green velvet pop, and pair it with warm metallic accents or wooden furniture for a balanced, sophisticated vibe. Its sizeable form makes it a statement piece, so keep surrounding décor minimal to let it really shine. Practical tip: opt for warm white bulbs to enhance the warmth of the brass lining and create inviting ambient lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
