Description

The new Three Layer Linen Shade brings the mid-century style to your interior lighting, with a triple tier design creating a beautiful, abstract look with a classic grey finish that adds a modern twist, perfect for styling in any interior. The warm light encompassed within escapes through the white middle tier, diffusing into a softer glow that practically lights any room while providing the space with a more relaxed atmosphere.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this three-layer linen shade because of its clean, modern aesthetic and neutral grey tone, which makes it quite versatile for various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired spaces, thanks to its simple form and natural fabric texture. A practical styling tip is to pair it with minimalist furniture or soft, muted colour schemes to enhance its understated elegance. Additionally, hanging it over dining areas or cosy seating nooks can create a warm, inviting glow without overpowering the room’s design. The layered design adds subtle visual interest, making it an ideal choice when you want a statement light that still remains understated.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
