I’m a fan of this white high sleeper because it makes the most of limited space, combining a cosy bed up top with a neat desk below. Its simple lines and matt finish sit well in contemporary, Scandinavian-inspired or coastal rooms, and the bright white tone keeps the room feeling open.
For styling, add a slim desk lamp and a couple of colourful storage boxes or woven baskets under the workspace to keep things tidy. A roll-up blind or small corkboard on the wall behind the desk gives personality without clutter, and you can soften the look with a patterned throw or scatter cushions in muted hues.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
