From the local surroundings of Epping Forest to the coasts of. Cornwall and Kent, artist Sharon Drew is captivated by nature; thesculptural twists of oak, the autumnal colours of beech andhornbeam, expansive skies and turbulent water. Drew seeks visualmetaphors for the sensation of momentum and shifting light, ratherthan depicting a particular place. 'In this age of instant gratification and constant distraction, itis difficult to be fully present in a place, process or moment intime.
