Price History

Description

Bring the vintage style into your home with the Theo Ash Table lamp. This minimal, urban table light has a unique design, featuring a simplistic, smoothed body made with a combination of materials that create a great accent piece in you home. Sitting on top of the base, an exposed bulb creates a beautiful, industrial style while providing wonderful task lighting to aid in your everyday needs – a great addition to your desk or bedside table.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this table lamp for its clean, minimal design and natural ash wood finish, which adds warmth without feeling bulky. It works well in modern, scandi-inspired interiors or even in more eclectic settings where a touch of natural material can soften the overall look. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or textured shades to enhance its understated elegance, or using it on bedside tables and sideboards to create ambient lighting. Its simplicity makes it versatile enough to complement a wide range of colour palettes and decor styles, making it a smart choice for anyone seeking a contemporary yet understated lighting solution.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
