Description

Why not add this Tropical Plant Gang in Little Botanical Belly Baskets to your home to instantly add some tropical vibes. The gorgeous Calathea and Yucca look great in their seagrass and cotton baskets. Included in this plant gang: 1 x Calathea in Belly Basket (Total approx height 25-35cm and width 14cm) 1 x Yucca in Belly Basket (Total approx height 35cm and width 14cm) The Calathea houseplant is a pretty special guy with stunning stripey leaves that have a certain elegance about them. In its natural habitat, this plant spends much of its life under the dense jungles of South America, so likes damp soil to keep at its best & looking fresh. The underside of the leaves are often as interesting to look at as the top, so think about placing it somewhere in your home where you can get a glimpse of both. The Yucca belongs to the Asparagus family and likes a bright spot. Native to the Carribean and the Americas, they like an arid environment so don't like to be overwatered. Don't you just love the majestic structure of this plant. Its perfect to style up a corner of a room. This bundle of greenery is ideal to style up your living space and helps add texture to a corner. Please note that the variety of Calathea may vary from the photo. Caring for your plant Always follow the attached care instructions. Whilst this will give your plants the best chance of thriving, environmental factors will also play a big impact on your plant's life span such as exposure to sun and humidity. Please note: As plants are a live product, the dimensions and images provided are estimates only as each plant is unique. Our Stylist Says

I love this little set because it’s a practical, low-maintenance way to bring some greenery into any space. It works particularly well in cosy corners, kitchens, or bathrooms where real plants might struggle to thrive. The natural look of the woven baskets adds warmth and texture, making them versatile for both contemporary and boho interiors. Styling tips include grouping these with other natural fibres or adding decorative trays underneath to create a layered, curated look. They’re perfect for adding freshness without the fuss of watering or sunlight, making them ideal for busy households or those without a green thumb.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
