Description

Water once a week. We recommend watering from the base for these larger indoor house plants, allow to soak for 10 minutes in a sink with cold water. If the soil is already damp, let it dry out a little before watering again. Feed with a generic houseplant feed every couple of months, however this shouldn’t be needed for the first 3-6 months. The Monstera likes sunshine but don't pick a spot that's too hot! The leaves are a beautiful glossy dark green – keep them shiny with a quick wipe with a damp cloth once a month. These highly sought after plants are the current MUST HAVE house plant. With its huge glossy green leaves, with almost heart like shapes, the Monstera is the indoor plant of the moment. These plants are in high demand and short supply. These plants grow so fast and offer a beautiful green addition to any indoor space. A plant with this many names is bound to be a show-stopper! It’s a fabulous statement plant and in our opinion an absolute must-have houseplant. The Monstera is more than just a pretty plant to look at. It can grow up to 20m in the right conditions, with incredible tendril-like roots. These have been used to make ropes or baskets in countries like Mexico and Peru. H60 x W36 x D35 cm Please note: This plant and basket will come in separate boxes, you simply drop the plant in its plastic pot, into the basket and it is ready for its forever home! The basket is sized to allow the growth of the plant. Caring for your plant Always follow the attached care instructions. Whilst this will give your plants the best chance of thriving, environmental factors will also play a big impact on your plant's life span such as exposure to sun and humidity. Please note: As plants are a live product, the dimensions and images provided are estimates only as each plant is unique. Refund policy We can't offer refunds or exchanges on perishable goods such as flowers and food, unless faulty or not as described. Find out more. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Our Stylist Says

I love how the little botanical monstera in the big belly basket adds instant greenery and texture to a space without the fuss of maintenance. It's a versatile piece that works well in both modern and eclectic interiors, especially in living rooms, offices, or bedrooms where a touch of nature enhances the overall vibe. Style-wise, it pairs beautifully with neutral tones or bold, colourful accents, and the basket itself adds a nice textural contrast that can be integrated into boho or Scandinavian schemes. For practical styling tips, consider placing it on a side table or shelf at eye level to really show off the leaves, or grouping it with other faux plants for a curated, lush look. Its low-maintenance nature makes it ideal for busy households or spaces with limited natural light.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
