Description

This quirky Croton plant is native to Southern India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Western Pacific Ocean Islands. We are sure he will add some serious jungle vibes to your home or office. Why not group a few Crotons together to create an exotic tropical jungle of houseplants? Mix it up with other smaller Crotons for a fun and colourful plant gang. This stunning big houseplant is the perfect addition to bring the outside in and we promise it will bring that pop of colour you are looking for. Crotons have different colours and patterns and could differ from the image, we think they are all as beautiful as one another. H60 x W36 x D35 cm Please note: This plant and basket will come in separate boxes, you simply drop the plant in its growing pot, into the basket and it is ready for its forever home! The basket is sized to allow the growth of the plant. Only water when the top of the soil is dry to the touch but ensure it gets a good drink once it is watered. If you're worried you have overwatered your Croton, check the basket for any excess water and tip it away. Browning tips on the leaves is a sign of underwatering, these can be trimmed keeping the shape of the leaf. Crotons love a sunny spot but avoid direct sunlight in the Summer months as this will scorch the leaves. Don’t forget to keep it away from draughts and radiators too. Caring for your plant Always follow the attached care instructions. Whilst this will give your plants the best chance of thriving, environmental factors will also play a big impact on your plant's life span such as exposure to sun and humidity. Please note: As plants are a live product, the dimensions and images provided are estimates only as each plant is unique. Refund policy We can't offer refunds or exchanges on perishable goods such as flowers and food, unless faulty or not as described. Find out more. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Our Stylist Says

This little croton in the Big Belly Basket offers a great way to introduce colour and texture into a space without the maintenance of real plants. I love it for modern, boho, or eclectic interiors where a pop of vibrancy can really lift the overall look. It works well on sideboards, shelves, or even as a centrepiece on a dining table. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned ceramics or minimalist furniture to let the bold foliage stand out, or grouping it alongside other artificial plants for a curated, layered greenery effect. Its scale and lively hues make it versatile enough to brighten up even darker corners, providing instant visual interest without needing watering or sunlight.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
