One in a series of works making reference to the Tarot, this time representing the chaos of creation. About the artist Graduating from New York's prestigious Parsons School of Design, Jessica Matier started out working with collage and watercolours. Since then, the artist has moved into mixed-media artworks, using a blend of psychology, religion and her own spirituality as inspiration.
I love this piece because it offers a subtle pop of colour and texture without overwhelming the space. It’s versatile and works well in both contemporary and traditional interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones or muted palettes. For styling, I recommend placing it as a focal point above a sofa or mantelpiece, with ample space around it to let the eye rest. It also looks great when grouped with other smaller artworks or decorative accessories, creating a curated, gallery-style feel. Keep framing simple to maintain the artwork’s charm, and consider pairing it with natural materials or soft furnishings to complement its painterly quality.
