Hand-crafted from untreated jute and bleached jute, the Tevia rug creates an authentic, natural atmosphere. Whether you want to complete a bohemian decor or add a touch of summer to your home, this is the perfect finishing touch. Product Details • 100% jute • 2600g/m2 • Thickness: 1cm • Fringed edging • Weaving type: Handmade • Underfloor heating compatible: Yes • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No. Quality Info • Hand-woven, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities that give it its authenticity. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. • Given its artisanal manufacture, the jute rug is not suitable for an area of heavy foot traffic. Care Instructions • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape.. • To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. • New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Remember to regularly ventilate your room to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light exposure. Care Advice • Vacuum regularly • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: No • To remove a stain, immediately dab the carpet with an absorbent tissue or damp cloth if necessary. For larger and deeper stains, you can call a professional service. Dimensions • Width 120 x Length 170cm • Width 160 x Length 230cm • Width 200 x Length 290cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification scheme monitors textile products for harmful substances through an independent, international certification scheme.
I love the Tevia jute rug for its natural, earthy texture that adds warmth to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in neutral, minimalist, or Scandinavian-inspired spaces, where it brings in a touch of organic charm. Due to its durable nature, it’s a practical choice for living rooms or bedrooms with high foot traffic, but it’s best avoided in very damp areas. For styling, layering it with softer textiles like knitted throws or lush cushions can create a cosy look, while pairing it with modern or rustic furniture keeps the space feeling fresh and inviting. Its understated colour palette also makes it versatile for both contemporary and classic interiors.
