Description
De-constructed image... A very strong visual impact for this troubling, fascinating mirror from Italian designer, Giampero Romano. This classically shaped mirror is interspersed with an offset band: the central part seems to have been pushed as if by magic. This asymmetrical, quirky position opens a dreamlike window into another dimension. The Tetris mirror has a dual personality, presenting a discrepancy between its eccentric cutout and the very classic style of the frame with its golden mouldings. The other feature of this mirror is the use of a surprising material. The frame seems to be made of wood: in fact, it’s made of expanded polyurethane. Lightweight, this plastic material perfectly imitates wood.
