Price History

Description

With its traditional shaping, elegant turned wooden feet and authentic Bagru upholstery, the Tetrad Jacaranda petit sofa mixes East and West for an unexpected effect. Lending a laidback look to an otherwise formal silhouette, the cotton fabric is hand printed and features a distressed finish that will bring character to any living area. Suitably sized for small lounges, this 2 seater sofa is available in four stylish colours, whilst superior sprung seats and foam overlays ensure all-around comfort - without the fuss of plumping cushions.

Our Stylist Says

The Tetrad Jacaranda Petit is a charming choice for both traditional and eclectic interiors thanks to its vintage-inspired design and nuanced fabric finish. I love its compact size, making it ideal for smaller living spaces or as an accent piece in larger rooms. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral-toned cushions to highlight its textured fabric, or add a splash of colour with vibrant throws for a more lively look. It works well in cosy seating nooks or as a statement piece in a modern eclectic setting. Practical tips include placing it against a feature wall or with low-level side tables to create an inviting, layered seating area. Its timeless shape and detailed upholstery make it an adaptable addition that can effortlessly elevate a variety of interior styles.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
