Description

The Lewis range from Tetrad has a delightful sense of being a modern classic. The pieces have a sophisticated curved shape with hardwood legs and a sprung seat and back for supreme comfort. Tetrad is known for using genuine Harris Tweed fabrics that bring a traditional look to your upholstery. Cosy Club is a collection of fabrics with a more contemporary look and feel, so if you're looking for something a little more current in its styling, Cosy Club will suit you. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this footstool for its versatile, understated appeal and the practicality it brings to both casual and more formal living spaces. Its light-leg design and neutral upholstery make it work particularly well in modern, Scandi-inspired interiors, but it can also add a touch of softness to traditional or eclectic settings. Stylistically, it’s perfect for use as an extra seat, a surface for trays or books, or simply a comfy spot to prop up your feet. For styling tips, consider pairing it with contrasting textures like a patterned rug or a plush sofa, or use it as a visual anchor in a corner for a cosy, inviting nook. Its neutral tone and simple form make it easy to incorporate into a range of colour schemes and design themes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
