Description
A stunning play on shapes and materials is guaranteed with these delicate, elegant white sandstone wall lights designed by Antwerp ceramics artist Anita Le Grelle. They present a play on volumes slotted onto one another, creating a stunning light effect. These lamps take shape by adjoining several bands of sandstone. The light that passes through the cracks creates a stunning shadow-and-light effect on the surface of the wall light, highlighting the tactility of the material. These resolutely modern high-end pieces boast an artisan quality. Anita Le Grelle designed her lamp collection with inspiration from her twins. "I searched in vain for a light that made a subtle impression without excessively catching your attention", explains Anita Le Grelle. "In my studio, I got started with experiences using bands of sandstone. I layered them, and connected them. That's how the Louis and Jack lamps came to be - wall-mounted lamps made of sandstone, different yet complementary, each with its own specific character."
