Description

With its pared-back design and plump, pillow-like seat and back cushions, the Teo teal fabric 2 seater sofa has a fun feel and a small footprint. Designed in house and made in Europe, the contemporary foam and fibre sofa has a relaxed, informal look, enhanced by its wrapped cushion covers, while dowelled wood legs give the design a light, airy feel. Exclusive to Habitat and upholstered in a linen-look fabric, the Teo sofa is available in 3 sizes and a choice of colours.

Our Stylist Says

The Teo Teal Blue sofa is a versatile piece that adds a fresh pop of colour to both modern and retro-inspired interiors. Its bold hue works particularly well against neutral palettes like greys, beiges, or crisp whites, allowing it to act as a focal point in the room. I love styling it with cosy textured cushions and throws to create a relaxed, inviting vibe. Practical tip: pair it with natural wood or brass accents for warmth, and keep accessories minimal to let the colour do the talking. This sofa is perfect in a contemporary living space or as a statement piece in a more eclectic setting.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
