Description

To customise your sleep, a Suffolk Slim Divan Adjustable Disc Bed from TEMPUR® offers a more precise level of comfort and support, letting you find your most comfortable position for relaxing and sleeping at the touch of a button. Elevate your head and legs to ease pressure on your back, help improve blood circulation, and feel almost weightless. Discs in the bed frame flex with your body, adjusting to your individual shape and movement. These discs can also be arranged to fit your individual preference in softer and firmer zones for an even more customised sleeping surface. Openings between the discs ensure the right level of airflow for mattress ventilation. The Suffolk Slim Divan has an exclusive leg option: the stiletto high leg in a matte black finish for a chic, modern look. Customise your bed and choose from a range of headboards and fabrics. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I love this divan base because of its sleek, practical design combined with the comfort of adjustable features. It works particularly well in contemporary or even eclectic interiors where clean lines and functional pieces are key. The upholstered finish and slim profile give it a polished look that can be styled effortlessly with statement bedding or layered textures. For practical styling tips, consider pairing it with minimalist bedside tables and soft lighting to let the bed be the focal point, while adding cushions and throws in contrasting fabrics or colours for a personalised, cosy touch. Its adjustable headboard feature also makes it a versatile choice for creating a relaxing reading corner or a more ergonomic sleep setup.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
