Offering the benefits of Tempur's body conforming materials, this mattress provides outstanding comfort to cradle your body and support tired limbs. Reducing the pressure points that can lead to tossing and turning, it will encourage an undisturbed slumber leaving you feeling refreshed and restored for the day ahead. The mattress' cover is removable and washable up to 60°C, so you can keep your sleep space feeling fresh and hygienic. Bed Base TEMPUR® mattresses must always be placed on a well-ventilated bed base or frame with feet, castors or legs to allow air to circulate freely, preventing moisture from accumulating. Bases with sturdy platform tops or slats (no more than 90mm apart) work best in terms of support and airing, check everything is level before you put your mattress on to use. A sprung divan can be used but this base will initially alter the feel as it creates more movement to the mattress making it feel softer. Once users are comfortable on the mattress the TEMPUR® mattress will then work. However, if the sprung base is poor then this could change the feel and pressure-relieving qualities. Therefore, we don't recommend using a TEMPUR® mattress on a sprung base over 5 years old as it is vital that the support for the mattress is level and free of dips or hollows which can occur from prior use. When making up the bed, TEMPUR® do not recommend using a valance between the mattress and chosen bed base as this can restrict air flow to the mattress. Getting used to the feel If your previous mattress or pillow used more traditional methods of support such as springs, feathers or fibre, it is likely your TEMPUR® products will initially feel different. The unique pressure-relieving properties of the TEMPUR® foam material, can take some time for the body to get used to. The more time spent on or in bed: resting, reading or watching TV, the better. The extra movement helps the cells in the TEMPUR® foam material to open and as they open, the cells 'breathe' and respond more rapidly to the user's weight and shape.
