A range of textured plain materials are available for your choosing, each one sure to beautifully coordinate with a wide range of decor schemes. The above image shows the Ardennes in a wonderfully versatile cobalt fabric. Complete the look by adding one of Tempur's stylish flush fitting headboards in matching materials to your order. Headboards are optional extras but fixtures and fittings for standard UK headboards are included. All Tempur divan bases are designed to complement the entire Tempur Mattress Range. Please note: The handles on the Ardennes have now been repositioned to sit on the upper-lid, whilst providing easier access to the storage space underneath. This was previously positioned on the lower section of the bed. Please Note: Imagery above shows the Ardennes ottoman with plain headboard, this is not standard and comes at an additonal charge.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Tempur Ardennes ottoman - its bold cobalt colour makes it a real statement piece that can elevate a bedroom’s overall look. It’s versatile enough to work well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones like greys, whites, or natural wood accents. For practical styling, consider layering the bed with textured bedding and adding a few complementary cushions in shades like soft blues or metallics to bring out the rich colour. The ottoman's storage feature is a real bonus, helping keep clutter out of sight while maintaining a sleek appearance, making it ideal for both spacious master bedrooms and more compact rooms where clever storage solutions are needed.

About Barker and Stonehouse
A Remarkable Journey
Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.
Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.
Sustainability at the Forefront
From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.
Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.
Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons
Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.
They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
