I’m a fan of this plum armchair for its clean lines and muted jewel tone - it brings a touch of warmth to a neutral or Scandi scheme and works equally well in a modern living room or a home office. The subtly curved back and padded seat make it comfortable enough for long working days or relaxed reading in a snug corner.
For styling, pair it with a textured cushion in soft grey or muted ochre to break up the solid hue, and add a pale oak side table to mirror the light wood legs. A natural-fibre rug underneath will anchor the pair without competing with the colour, while a simple floor lamp alongside creates a cosy reading nook.
