I’m really taken with the grey house-frame bed for a child’s room - its simple, Scandi lines and neutral finish slot straight into modern, minimalist or even gently bohemian schemes. It works equally well against a pale pastel wall or a crisp white backdrop. To style it, layer up with a soft, patterned duvet and a couple of scatter cushions, then drape a string of warm-white fairy lights along the roof bars for a cosy feel. Tuck a low-profile rug underneath and pop a couple of storage baskets at one end to keep toys and bedtime stories to hand.
