Description

Turn your cosy living space into the ultimate place to relax with the Taylor Small Left Hand Facing Corner Sofa in Sunningdale Nickel Grey. This more compact version of the popular medium size Taylor Corner means you can have all the cosy comfort a corner sofa brings without overcrowding your space. The Sunningdale Nickel Grey fabric of the Taylor Small Left Hand Facing Corner Sofa matches with bold colours or a more monochromatic palette, so you can ensure it fits your personal taste.

Our Stylist Says

This corner sofa is a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and neutral interiors, thanks to its clean lines and understated nickel grey hue. I love its ergonomic design and the mix of textured cushions, which add to its relaxed, inviting feel. It's great in open-plan living areas or family rooms, providing ample seating without overwhelming the space. For styling, consider pairing it with soft, patterned rugs and minimalist coffee tables to keep the look balanced. Adding colour accents through cushions or throws can also help personalise the space and prevent the grey from feeling too cold. Overall, a practical choice that balances comfort and modern style seamlessly.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
