Description
Exuding a retro charm with an Art Deco feel, the Targa collection was designed in 2015 by the famous Italo-Danish Gamfratesi studio. This is a sofa that breathes great modernity, combined with the timeless elegance of the first items of bentwood furniture that appeared in the late 19th century. Its simple, structured lines and incredible mix of materials give the seat a strong and contemporary personality. The traditional Wiener GTV Design codes are found in Targa : a steam-bent beechwood structure, enhanced with a superb natural straw caned surround. The curved element – a Wiener GTV Design leitmotiv – is found in this item behind the backrest forming the decorative panel after which it is named (Targa means plate in Italian). The structure creates a light and graceful envelope that surrounds the padded seat. Its simple lines accentuate the high-end Kvadrat fabric. As beautiful from the front as it is from the back, the Targa sofa will cause a sensation in the middle of a room. Rich materials, high standards of quality, exceptional finishes and an original form, all wonderfully characteristic of the Wiener GTV Design spirit. Drawing on the tradition and way of thinking of Michael Thonet, Wiener GTV Design develops products rooted in an innovative, meticulous design process.
