Description

Design. Dine in style with the Taransay Royal Garden Corner Dining Set. Hand woven round weave rattan is a quintessential design feature that is UV protected and hard wearing. The sofa comes in 3 sections making it easy to store during the colder months and straightforward to put together for long summer days spent lounging in the garden. High strength aluminum has been incorporated into each seating part to provide durability and support. Tempered glass makes up the tabletop that is complete with a built-in fire pit, which requires a gas bottle that can be discreetly stored beneath the table, and a lazy susan which makes entertaining that little bit easier.

Our Stylist Says

The Taranay Royal Garden Corner Dining Set is a versatile piece that works well in both classic and contemporary garden settings. I love how its neutral tones and rattan finish create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, perfect for alfresco dining and evening gatherings. Practical styling tips include layering with cosy cushions or textured throws for added comfort, especially if you want to extend its use into cooler months. pairing it with understated tableware or greenery in simple pots can enhance its natural aesthetic without overpowering the overall look. It’s a great choice for those wanting a low-maintenance yet stylish outdoor dining solution that can easily be dressed up or down to suit different outdoor interiors.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
