The Moooi Carpets collection brings together eccentric and spectacular rugs from some of the greatest modern artists. The clouds, "this prodigious magic of air and water", have long been a source of inspiration for artists… The Swedish design duo studied and compiled hundreds of depictions of clouds in classic paintings. Through this process, they found hundreds and hundreds of different shades and tones. Their rugs are a collage of clouds, reproduced from a variety of paintings for different eras.
