Description

Tamsin Rechargeable Shaded Wall Light - Chrome

Our Stylist Says

I love this wall light for its sleek, contemporary look with a touch of practicality. The shaded design softens the light, making it ideal for creating cosy atmospheres in living rooms, bedrooms, or hallways. The chrome finish adds a modern, clean touch that pairs well with minimalist, Scandinavian, or even slightly industrial interiors. Practical styling tips include placing it beside a mirror or artwork to highlight key features or using it in pairs for balanced lighting along a corridor or in a living space. Its rechargeable feature makes it flexible for use without visible cords, so it works well in spots where you want a streamlined window-free look or in rooms where you prefer to minimise clutter. Overall, it’s an elegant addition that combines style with functionality.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
