So French, so Seventies: the cult Tam Tam Stool, copied many times but never equaled! Rediscover the original version of the famous Tam Tam stool, designed in 1968 by Henri Massonnet (1922 - 2005) and reissued by Stamp Edition. A symbol of the 70s, the famous Egg timer stool on which Brigitte Bardot posed has become a cult object, emblematic of popular and practical design. Handy, economical, dismountable and lightweight, this iconic Stool has sold over 12 million units and has been honored by New York's MoMa and Paris' Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The late 60s were the heyday of "all-plastic" design. Henry Massonnet had just perfected a new molding process in his family company, Stamp, dedicated to the manufacture of Comb. In 1968, the designer came up with a practical, transportable Stool for his fishing customers: two hollow, conical elements that could be assembled in the blink of an eye. With its affordable price tag, the Sieve's success soon spread beyond the river banks to become extremely popular. An unexpected Projector in 1969, Brigitte Bardot posed in her living room for Ici Paris magazine with several models. In ten years, over 12 million copies were sold and the Sieve became a cult item. In 1970, it entered the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and its creator was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. But the 1973 oil crisis hit the plastics industry, forcing Henry Massonnet to stop production of the Sieve in 1980. For twenty years, the original No. 169 molds gathered dust. But in the early 2000s, French production was resumed at the Stamp factory, still located in Nurieux, in the Ain region nicknamed "Plastic Vallée. Today, the Sieve is manufactured in the same Ain factory, using the same n°169 mold that gave birth to the original model. Purely French-made, the new-generation Tam Tam is a worthy heir to its lineage. Flashy, transparent, opaque, translucent, Chromed, in a multitude of ultra-trendy colors... There's something for everyone! Alone or in combination, as a decorative element or accent piece, it's at home in every room of the house, from bedroom to bathroom, from kitchen to terrace (in dry weather).
