Description

With special permission by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Japanese lighting brand Yamagiwa presents the cherry Taliesin 4 Table Lamp. The design is inspired by Wright's Taliesin 1 Pendant Light, an original design that was created to illuminate a theatre at the architect's 1911 residence in Taliesin, Wisconsin. The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture are now both situated at this very same location. Crafted from cherry wood, the material was chosen after Wright's favourite colour, red. The sculptural lamp consists of a series of boxes which contain the light sources, each reflecting off the boards placed above and below them. Care instructions: Dust using a dry cloth. Requires 3 x Max 15W E14 bulbs (not included)

Our Stylist Says

The Taliesin 4 is a striking statement piece that works particularly well in modern or minimalist interiors, where its sculptural quality can really stand out. I love how the cherry finish adds warmth and richness, making it versatile enough to complement both contemporary and mid-century spaces. When styling with this lamp, consider balancing its bold form with simpler furnishings to let it be the focal point, and place it in an area where it can be appreciated from multiple angles-such as a corner or beside a sleek sofa. Practical tips include pairing it with minimalist décor and incorporating other wooden or natural elements to create a cohesive and inviting aesthetic.
