Description

With special permission by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Japanese lighting brand Yamagiwa presents the cherry Taliesin 2 Floor Lamp. The design is inspired by Wright's Taliesin 1 Pendant Light, an original design that was created to illuminate a theatre at the architect's 1911 residence in Taliesin, Wisconsin. The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture are now both located at this very same location. Crafted from cherry wood, the material was chosen after Wright's favourite colour, red. The sculptural lamp consists of a series of boxes which contain the light sources, each reflecting off the boards placed above and below them. Care instructions: Dust using a dry cloth. Requires 10 x Max 25W E14 bulbs (not included)

Our Stylist Says

I love the Taliesin 2 in cherry for its bold sculptural presence and contemporary colour palette. It works especially well in modern, minimal interiors where it can serve as a standalone statement piece, but it also brings a playful edge to more eclectic spaces. Practical styling tips include pairing it with simple, understated furniture to let the lamp stand out, or using it in a corner to add visual interest and warm, ambient light. Its vibrant hue is great for injecting colour into neutral schemes, making it a versatile choice for both residential and commercial settings. Just ensure the placement allows for the column’s striking silhouette to be appreciated fully.
