Description
This cushion cover is decorated with the Taite (fold) pattern created by Fujiwo Ishimoto in the early 2000s. Geometric and minimalist, this washed-effect print with a large check is a reinterpretation of shibori: a Japanese tie colouring technique, used for centuries and famous for its blue colouring. This cushion cover is made from a blend of cotton and hemp. Hemp is considered to be a sustainable fibre, as growing it consumes less water, fertiliser and pesticides than cotton. The cover has a zip fastening on the side. Cheerful, chic and graphic, the cushion cover collection by Marimekko brings your interior to life! Their original patterns blend together wonderfully. Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours, for a house full of inspiration!
