The iconic Taccia lamp now uses the latest LED technology and combines high-quality lighting with efficient energy consumption. Designed by the Castiglioni brothers, the Taccia lamp is one of the great classics of lighting design. It came out of the Flos studios in 1962 and resembles a big projector. Taccia celebrated industrial design, so cherished by our two Italian designers. This lamp is composed of a ribbed aluminium basis onto wheel a deep bell jar, made of hand-blown clear glass, has been jointed. A varnished aluminium disc covers the bell jar and acts like a reflective screen for the bulb, which is hidden in the body of the lamp. Taccia diffuses a high-quality, indirect light that can be adjusted upwards and downwards. A true design icon, the aesthetic qualities of Taccia pass the tests of time: placed on a furniture unit or even on the floor, it adds a super avant-garde loft vibe to any space. In 1970, Achille Castiglioni said that Taccia represented "the Mercedes Benz of lamps, a symbol of success: perhaps because it resembles a classic column".
The Taccia LED table lamp is a striking piece that combines vintage-inspired design with contemporary functionality. Its glass brown shade adds warmth and a touch of elegance, making it ideal for both modern and retro interiors. I love how versatile it is-it works beautifully in living rooms, on side tables, or as a statement piece on a desk. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral or earthy tones to enhance its warm hues, or placing it alongside brass or gold accents for a luxe look. Its height and unique silhouette make it an excellent choice for adding ambient lighting and visual interest without overpowering the space.
