The PANTHELLA was designed in 1971 by Verner Panton in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. Its exceptional design not only reflects Panton's playful style, but also offers a one of a kind, pleasant light thanks to the organic shapes. The hemispherical shade emits most of the light downwards, where it's reflected by the trumpet-shaped base and bathes the surroundings in a soft, diffuse light. The lamp has a toggle switch on the cable, to switch it on and off.
This table lamp is a striking piece with its iconic, sculptural form, making it a standout feature in any space. I love how it combines retro charm with a modern edge, fitting beautifully into contemporary, mid-century, or eclectic interiors. It works well on side tables, desks, or console tables where its shape can be appreciated up close. For practical styling, consider pairing it with minimalist or textured accessories to highlight its fluid silhouette, and opt for warm lighting to create a cosy atmosphere. Its simplicity and bold design make it versatile enough to be both functional lighting and a statement décor piece.
