Its modular, small footprint construction means you can build it up to the exact shape and size you require, and easily adapt this over time by adding or removing its modular pieces. Created in the Habitat design studio and made in Europe, it has a squared shape with smoothed corners and offers the upmost comfort with its deep seat design, foam filled seat cushions and smaller scatter cushions on top. The sofa is stylishly finished with low beech feet. Upholstered in our easy velvet fabric which is super durable and spill-resistant, it’s perfect for busy homes. The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
