The story of the T37 Chair began in 1935, when the city of Paris issued public invitations to tender in preparation for the 24th Universal Exhibition of 1937. The company ''X. Pauchard - Sièges Tolix'' were asked to design furniture to match the ambitions of this major exhibition. The result was the T37 Chair and Armchair. More than 12,000 chairs and armchairs were produced to furnish over one hundred hectares of public gardens. Embodying the modern style of the '30s and '50s, the T37 Chair has made a name for itself thanks to its rock-solid solidity and light weight. Stackable, it is the perfect answer to the need for rational space. Its refined aesthetics and great functionality have led to a prestigious and successful career.
