Description

Inspire an industrial style in your interior with the Sym Square Downlight. This recessed spotlight looks ideal in kitchens and can even be styled in the bathroom as an over head shower light due to an IP65 rating. It is also tiltable meaning that you can adjust the light to shine in any direction of your choosing and is finished in brushed copper.

Our Stylist Says

I love this copper downlight for its contemporary yet warm aesthetic, making it an excellent choice for adding a touch of elegance to both modern and transitional interiors. The brushed copper finish lends itself well to industrial, eclectic, or sophisticated schemes, seamlessly blending function and style. Its tiltable feature offers practical flexibility, ideal for accent lighting or spotlighting specific areas or features within a room. When styling, consider pairing it with other warm metallic finishes or matte textures to create a cohesive look. Additionally, because of its IP65 rating, it’s suitable for use in bathrooms or kitchens where moisture resistance is key, providing a sleek, functional lighting solution without compromising on style.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
