I’m a fan of this oak desk for its clean lines, handy drawer and cane-front cabinet that keeps bits out of sight while adding a textured detail. Its warm tone works brilliantly in Scandi, modern or coastal schemes and pairs well with neutral walls or soft green accents.
For styling, keep the surface minimal - a slim desk lamp, a small potted plant and a neat pen pot are all you need. Tuck matching woven baskets into the cupboard for extra storage, add a floating shelf above in oak or white to display a couple of books and prints, and finish with a simple jute rug beneath to protect your floor.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores".
