Description

Product Information Transform your lounge into a guest room in seconds. The Model 02 sofa bed is everything you love about mid-century sofa design. Yet, it's a sofa bed. As comfortable as the Model 02 sofa, and with the same pulled-seam and piped detailing, bolster cushions, and solid wood plinth, it doesn't compromise on style either. Thicker than a normal sofa bed, the 7-inch mattress is a mix of pocket springs and foam and folds out to a fully-sized UK double bed. A dream-worthy combination that is ideal for cosy movie nights or unexpected guests. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shapeThis sofa bed has a foam mattress. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Owing to variations in computer screen resolution and settings, the fabric you receive may look slightly different to how it appears here. Prior to purchasing, we strongly recommend that you are order a free sample online. About Swyft's fabric optionsAll inherently durable and resilient to everyday life, the boucles, wools, chenilles, and soft linens offer a softer, more textured option. The velvets, linens, suedes, and cottons are all made with stain-resistant threads so you don't need to worry about your clumsy friend, over-excited child or boisterous pet making a mess. Our Stylist Says

I love this sofa bed for its sleek, contemporary design and versatility. It works particularly well in modern, minimalist interiors, but can also anchor a more eclectic space when styled with textured cushions or throws. Its clean lines and neutral colour make it easy to incorporate with a variety of colour palettes-from bold, vibrant hues to soft, muted tones. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a statement rug to define the seating area, and layered textiles like patterned cushions or a cosy throw to add visual interest and comfort. Its dual function as a sofa and guest bed makes it ideal for smaller spaces or multi-purpose rooms, allowing for flexible and stylish living.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
