Description
Product Information Transform your lounge into a guest room in seconds. The Model 02 sofa bed is everything you love about mid-century sofa design. Yet, it's a sofa bed. As comfortable as the Model 02 sofa, and with the same pulled-seam and piped detailing, bolster cushions, and solid wood plinth, it doesn't compromise on style either. Thicker than a normal sofa bed, the 7-inch mattress is a mix of pocket springs and foam and folds out to a fully-sized UK double bed. A dream-worthy combination that is ideal for cosy movie nights or unexpected guests. Moulds to the body, snaps back to shapeThis sofa bed has a foam mattress. The foam acts like springs, moulding to the body for a supported sleep, but returning to the mattress's original shape when not in use. Owing to variations in computer screen resolution and settings, the fabric you receive may look slightly different to how it appears here. Prior to purchasing, we strongly recommend that you are order a free sample online. Our Stylist Says
I love this sofa bed for its clean lines and versatile style, making it a great focal point in both contemporary and mid-century-inspired interiors. Its large size is perfect for open-plan living spaces or family rooms where comfort and practicality are key. To style around it, opt for cushions in contrasting textures or colours to add personality without overwhelming its sleek silhouette. It works well paired with light timber or metallic accents, and you can easily dress it up with a cosy throw for transforming it into a welcoming guest bed. Keep the surrounding decor minimal to highlight the sofa's elegant shape, while ensuring the space remains functional and inviting.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
