Our Stylist Says
I love this sofa for its versatility and timeless elegance. The taupe velvet upholstery adds a touch of luxury while remaining neutral enough to complement a wide range of colour schemes and decor styles - from contemporary to classic. It works particularly well in minimalist or Scandinavian interiors, where its sleek silhouette can be combined with textured throws and cushions for added comfort. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a cosy, patterned rug to anchor a seating area or accessorising with metallic or wooden side tables. Due to its neutral tone, it also offers great flexibility for seasonal styling; you can easily refresh the look with different cushion covers or throws to suit the occasion or your mood.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
