Description
When creating the Pritchard, we combined all the best bits into one wonderfully retro, yet luxuriously traditional, piece of lounge furniture. Classic, British-style deep buttoning on a firm back creates an arty contrast with modern, brass-capped legs and vintage-inspired flat arms - which, themselves, differ with one another. It's all topped off with foam and wadding in the seat cushions to give the perfect comfort level - a happy medium with a spring in its step. Want more? Our Stylist Says
I love the Pritchard sofa’s rich fern green velvet, which makes it a statement piece in both modern and vintage-inspired interiors. Its classic shape works well in spaces that balance contemporary design with timeless charm, such as mid-century or art deco styles. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral or warm-toned cushions to soften the look, or introduce tactile throws for added comfort. It’s also versatile enough to sit comfortably in a colourfully decorated room or a more understated space, making it a flexible choice for a variety of interiors. To keep the velvet looking its best, avoid placing it in direct sunlight and opt for gentle cleaning routines.

About Habitat
The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
