Description

Richly coloured mango wood with a flash of antique brass, this mid-century styled Deco cabinet will add a bold dose of depth to your room. There are four cupboards with three opening asymmetrical doors in total. The right sided door opens as one unit. Made with solid wood and handcrafted one at a time, there may be natural variations in colour and texture that are not product flaws, they make your design truly one-of-a-kind. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

The Swoon Banner cabinet in brown and brass is a fantastic piece for adding a touch of warmth and sophistication to a variety of interiors. Its rich wood tones pair beautifully with both modern and vintage aesthetics, making it versatile for living rooms, dining areas, or even bedrooms. I love how the brass hardware offers a subtle luxe detail without overpowering the natural beauty of the wood. Styling ideas include combining it with textured cushions or throws to soften its look, or using it as a statement piece paired with minimalist decor. Practical tips include placing it alongside brighter or lighter elements to help it stand out, and using its storage to keep clutter out of sight while maintaining a stylish, curated space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
