Description
Both refined and modern, the Swirl collection features a sculptural, sophisticated construction that explores the notion of balance. This candlestick consists of a stack of cylinders of different sizes that perform a true balancing act. The solid, destructured silhouette is highly graphic. This candlestick is composed of two parts which can be separated and positioned as you wish: you can stack them up or use them separately. This candlestick is suitable for long candles and tealights (candles not included). Tom Dixon pursues his artistic research inspired by post-consumer processes, the waste phenomenon and its management, and the recycling practices of used materials. The Swirl collection is made up of a material that imitates marble, made from industrial waste: recycled marble powder from sawmills. This powder is mixed with coloured pigments and resin. The material is then cut and turned by hand. The marble pattern provides superb mineral decoration. Through the pigmentation process, each piece has a unique pattern.
