Danish designer Henrik Sørig Thomsen pays homage to the traditional wooden chair typical of Scandinavian design by delivering up a really subtle version. Handcrafted in solid oak, the Swing armchair combines Danish craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. The seat’s comfort is excellent and the construction details particularly well designed, demonstrating real woodworking know-how. The curved backrest with its iconic Scandinavian design lines is extended by the thin armrests: it supports the back without weighing down the form. The legs placed in a compass shape on the outside draw sharp, geometric lines that unify the design and surprise at the same time. Each of the Bolia brand's creations is built to last and handcrafted by some of Europe's finest manufacturers. Bolia products are tested to the highest quality standards, and meet international and European standards for strength, durability, stability and safety. Natural materials take pride of place. The wood is FSC®-certified, which guarantees sustainable forest management and good working conditions.
