Price History
Description
Designed for modern UK homes, the Swindon chest of drawers combines a planked oak finish with 7 drawers in a 5-over-2 layout, offering a genuinely useful home for clothing and everyday items. At 95cm wide, Its footprint is generous enough to offer serious everyday capacity while still fitting comfortably against a typical bedroom wall. Each drawer runs smoothly and offers proper depth, so folded clothing, linens or general household items all have a dedicated home rather than being piled on top of each other, and the consistent planked oak finish across every drawer front keeps the whole piece looking coordinated rather than mismatched. The finish is applied to a sturdy, well-braced construction, so it holds its shape and keeps its good looks even after years of daily use rather than showing wear within the first few months. It's the kind of piece that quietly earns its place in daily life, giving everything from clothing to bits and pieces a proper home instead of leaving them scattered across surfaces. On the practical side, it arrives flat-packed with clear instructions, and free expert assembly support means getting it built and into position doesn't have to be a chore. Practical, durable and finished to a genuinely modern standard, the Swindon chest of drawers is built to be the kind of furniture you stop noticing because it simply works, day after day, quietly doing its job in the background of everyday life.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Swindon Oak 5 Plus 2 Chests because of its clean, natural oak finish that brings warmth and texture to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in Scandi, rustic, or modern minimalist spaces where the focus is on simplicity and natural materials. Practical styling tips include pairing it with soft textiles or greenery on top to soften its sleek lines, and keeping clutter to a minimum to maintain its elegant look. It’s a versatile piece that offers ample storage without overwhelming a room, making it perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, or even a spacious hallway. Its understated design ensures it complements both contemporary and traditional schemes seamlessly.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
