Finishing touches include dark oak legs and stitch details along the curved arms. Upholstered in our most luxurious velvet, this cotton blend fabric has a deep pile so is extremely soft to touch while also being hardwearing. Swift is also available in various sizes, colours and fabrics. Before making your decision be sure to read our Sofa Measuring Guide to ensure this sofa will fit into your home. And once delivered to you, remember to plump and rotate your cushions regularly to keep your sofa looking its best.
Our Stylist Says
I love this green velvet sofa for its rich, luxurious colour and its versatile right-hand chaise design, which makes it a perfect statement piece in both modern and eclectic interiors. The moss green shade offers great styling flexibility-it pairs beautifully with neutral tones like blancs, greys, or warm wood finishes, but also works well with bolder colours for a more dramatic look. Practical tips include adding textured cushions or throws in contrasting fabrics to bring layers of depth, and using minimal accessories to keep the velvet as the centre of attention. Its timeless shape and lush fabric make it a great investment piece that can anchor a variety of living spaces, from sophisticated apartments to cosy, inviting lounges.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
Innovation & Collaboration
Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.
Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
