Description
French architect and designer Jean Nouvel is behind many essential creations in France and around the world. For MDF Italia, he created Super_position: a deconstructed bookcase with a graphic look and incredible formal lightness. Entirely made of extruded aluminium, Super_position presents a tree-like array of shelves connected by round, vertical uprights. The fine, clean lines bring great lightness to this large structure. This large bookcase brings originality and modernity to your walls. Jean Nouvel on the Super_position bookcase: “This layering [superpositions] is a hymn to the lightness of horizontality. Cut through by the discontinuity of uninterrupted uprights, the flat sections are small diving boards that venture into the ambient void. Objects, vases and sculptures can express their different scales in the empty spaces, niche spaces in the centre or at the ends of the overlapping lines. ” Entirely made of aluminium, the Super_position bookcase is 100% recyclable. Super_position consists of extruded aluminium uprights and shelves, assembled using an invisible joining system, capable of ensuring structural stability and special load capacity. This bookcase comes disassembled (assembly instructions provided). It’s essential to fix the bookcase to the wall.
