Originally created in 1929 this joyful textile design captures the after glow of summer's radiance. A beautiful example of an Art Deco floral, the bold poppies have an angular stylised quality to them. Poppies are seeped in ancient mythology, as far back as the Egyptian pharaohs and were found in tombs in the Valley of Kings - dating as far back as 3000 years. This unique design has been authentically reproduced using digital printing and ethically sourced materials.
I love this piece because of its bold, vibrant colours and lively composition, which can really inject energy into a room. It works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic interiors where a pop of colour can serve as a focal point. The size makes it ideal for feature walls above sofas or beds, but it can also be styled in a gallery wall alongside more neutral pieces for added interest. Practical tips include pairing it with understated frames to let the artwork speak for itself, and using complementary cushions or accessories in your space to tie the look together. This one’s perfect for bringing a cheerful, artistic vibe to both living rooms and bedrooms.
